What a busy weekend it was!

There was more and more packing today.    Now the house is really bare,  and after this coming week,  it will be awful to see all the bare walls,  floors, closets even.    But maybe it won’t be so bad.    I am one that loves the big boxes,  as they hold quite a bit more things.    My husband got some very large boxes this morning.   These are the nice and tall ones.    I filled up a couple of them and then I headed to my closet to fill another.   The one box barely fit all my handbags.    It was so heavy,  that both my husband and I had to carry it down the stairs and into the garage.    He was almost cussing at me under his breath,  but 1 huge box is better than 4 or 5 of the same thing, right?    Hey,  at least we got the box carried without it busting!!    Thank goodness for lots and lots of tape!

Tomorrow will be shoes.    Don’t even ask the size of box those will be put into.    My favorite Sister has been getting us quite a few boxes and that HUGE one is for my shoes.    That one when filled will be super heavy.    Again,   plenty of tape will go on that one too.      And yes,  I already have sorted out many of the things I have been packing,  so whatever shoes/purses/clothes I have left,  are all coming with me.

Oh man am I tired tonight!   I have not slept as good as I usually do lately.    Maybe because there is so much on my mind,   so many things to do, etc……  I think after the move is complete and we are all settled,   sound sleep will finally return.    I hope so!

Yes,  it was a very, very busy day for us…………We ran some errands,  got some more boxes and did more packing.     Cleaned out the garage even!   I mean,  we actually organized it more,   made a HUGE pile of things to get rid of (tomorrow in fact),   packed more boxes and then ate a nice dinner.

Tomorrow will be another day of packing things,   getting more boxes.     So fun!!   2 weeks from now we will actually be in Colorado,  in our hotel room,  winding down from a long days drive.     Have I told you people enough how much I can’t wait????    The rest of that drive to our new destination will be amazing.    Gorgeous views of the mountains will be all around us.    Oh how I love the mountains!!   I can’t wait to see them again.   I will be like a kid in a candy shop.    Literally!

By this time next weekend,   I will be overly anxious for the following weekend.    I know that our stuff will all be packed and ready to go by then.    Hell,  my house is already looking quite barren,   but in a  a good way…..

Wow,  what  a great day!!!!

To start,  the weather was nice yet again.   Full Sun and warmer temps………..Then we got our call that we got our “dream home”!!!!   This house is LARGE and in charge, baby!!!    Over 2600 sq. ft of living space,  which is bigger than what we got now and and 2 stories at that!    There is a balcony off of the Master bedroom with awesome views, including views of the mountains!    A 3 car garage,  gourmet kitchen,   fantastic neighborhood…………so many other things to list!     It is truly a dream come true for us.      Now tomorrow we will get the school stuff lined up for the kids and then soon,  very soon,  we will be there!

Tonight my Mother in Law wanted to spend time with the kiddos,   so we dropped them off to her and husband and I went out for a nice dinner.     We had very good food and I had myself a couple of drinks.    Martinis,  that were actually stronger than I remember them ever usually being.    I am not a drinker at all,  so these 2 drinks have me buzzing right about now.    This has been almost 2 hours ago and I am still feeling quite loopy.      Man,  good thing I didn’t drink 3!   I would be plain drunk then.     But it was a nice celebration of our accomplishments.    I feel just fine right now,   so why the Hell not?     Now it will be quite some time before I drink again.    I can count on less than 10 fingers how much I drink in 1 years time.    I guess that would explain my intoxication level right about now.     This is what most would call a “lightweight”!!     But I don’t much care……….I deserve to have a couple drinks here and there.    Not like I was driving or anything.     Hey I still kicked butt in UNO tonight with the family,   so there!

My Dad brought me a big bag of newspaper this evening,   so tomorrow I will spend time packing more of the fragile things.    After I get the main level packed up,  I will only have 2 more levels to pack and that will be just fine.    The many pairs of shoes and clothes of mine will be a challenge for me,   but in the new house I will have plenty of space for it all!    That is very nice to know………..

Well my head is starting to throb just a bit,   so I am thinking a couple of Asprins may be what I need.    I am quite sure I will be in lala land soon enough………

Goodness,  it has taken me a while just to type all this out!    Finally done!

TGIF tomorrow!

Today was another good day.

The weather was quite nice,   the Sun was bright all day.     I met my sexy man for lunch and then I ran a few errands after that.      I did no packing today.    Took a  day off from that.   Mostly because I ran out of boxes and newspaper.     Tonight my favorite Sister brought me some more boxes,   so I will find some time tomorrow to pack a few more.

We should find out by Friday for sure if we get our “dream house”.    If we don’t,  then there is another home I know we will like that we will have the option of.      So far,   our goal is to be outta here by the 20th.     2 weeks from Saturday!   OMG!    Now we were going to take what we thought would be a bit faster,   but after researching it,  I couldn’t drive forever and ever with absolutely no scenery.     So we decided to do the Colorado route instead.     That will give us many beautiful mountains to see on our drive and that is just what I will love!    Heck,   we were just there is September,   so the drive won’t be bad at all.    If anything it will be even more fun,  because we know we are getting closer and closer to our final destination.

I have been busy getting all the final things settled for our move.      There are so many little things a person has to do when moving out of State,  that some things can be easy to forget.    But we have made our lists,  checking them twice and soon will have all crossed off.     The moving truck so far I think will be here on the 19th,   so that means we will have to spend one night in sleeping bags on our living room floor.    That will suck,  but it could be worse.

Wow,  tomorrow is Thursday already.     Oddly this week is going by too darn fast.    I wish it would slow down just a bit,  but I don’t think that is going to happen.     No plans for the weekend as of yet.    Probably will spend some good time out in the garage and going through all that stuff and adding to the ever growing pile of things to donate.       So many things to do,  yet so little time it seems.    I will get it all done.   I am getting closer and closer each (almost anyway) day………..

Hello all you fine people!!!

Hope your weekend was good for you.    The weather hear is warming up each day and there has been a good amount of Sun lately.    Still is quite a bit of snow on the ground,   but slowly it is melting.      The weekend was good for us.     Kept ourselves busy doing things,  and so far the new week has been pleasant as well.

We are 1 step closer to finding our next house.     We have 2 that we really like and the 1 is our “dream home”.   We should find out about that one this week in fact.     I will be screaming like a child if we get that house.   It is damn near perfect in every way for us,   but still keeping my fingers crossed on that one.     I have been packing and packing and packing today!   I got 2 major rooms all packed up,  and that was quite a bit of work!    Now I need more boxes and newspaper before I can start on another room.      I think tomorrow will be a good day to take a break from the packing,   and then my favorite Sister will bring me some more boxes.     I can’t wait to unpack all this stuff.    It sure is easier (in my opinion) to un-pack than to pack.    But it is getting done.      The kids are getting a bit more anxious I think too.     They are still too young to know what we are really doing,  but once we get settled,   I know they will be happy with the change.

Man,  all that packing really makes you tired at the end of the day.     I feel like I could fall asleep now and stay asleep all night,   but still a few more things to do before the nights end.      Tomorrow is Wednesday already.    Can you believe it?   Where is the time going already???

It was a nice weekend……………The weather is finally starting to warm up more and more each day,  and the Sun has been nice and bright.       Definitely still have LOTS of snow still on the ground from December 5th,  but it is very slowly melting.      The kids had fun playing in the backyard in all the snow.     They were using shovels to dig and try to find their balls they left outside.       Found all of them,  so that was good!

We ran errands here and there,   spent time outside and played dodge ball with the neighbor kids.     Now if it would only warm up into the 40s and above,   the darn snow would be melting more and more……….Oh well,   at least Spring is much closer than it was a week ago.      It has been a long,  hard Winter for most everyone,   so I am sure we all will welcome Spring and Summer!

Back to work tomorrow for everyone!     I hope your Monday is a good one.      Back to the normal daily stuff,  so will be busy myself.      Enjoy your night!

Yeah Friday is here!

The kids enjoyed the day home with Mommy.     One has a bad cold and the others will probably catch it soon enough as well.    The weather is warming up a bit each day and that is really nice for once!

I have been busy with things at home,   so nothing too fun or special to report really.    Just being busy with all the upcoming changes that are going to happen very fast.      We will have company on Monday night for a short bit,  and hopefully that won’t last long.    I am tired of the nonsense.    Tired of so many things actually that I cannot mention here.     Some people in life are just too much of busy bodies,  poking their noses in other peoples business.     Just ridiculous!     Take care of yourself,   that is how I look at it anyway……..

Anyway,   tomorrow is Saturday!    The weekend will go by fast and hopefully we will have some fun things to do.    I think going out for ice cream sounds good!    Even though it is still cold outside,  ice cream can really hit the spot at times.    I know the kids will not turn it down for sure!

Well I am tired.     Woke up early again the last 2 mornings,   and it is catching up to me.     Time to head to my den for the night!

Geez,   I am anxious for this darn month to be done with already.    Why?  Well probably because in March we will find our home and move from this darn place,  and start a whole new chapter in our lives………

Today was a busy day,   and tomorrow will be just as busy.   The girls will enjoy a day at home w/ Mommy.    They are out of school the rest of the week,  and my Son is out on Friday.    Tomorrow it will be a girls day out.   We will go here and there,   take them out for a nice lunch.   It will be a good day.     I love having my girls with me on these rare days.     They are way too precious at this age.    Just wish they didn’t  have to grow up,  as it seems that kids these days grow up way too fast.     What a  shame that is!

Well we originally found 2 and then today 3 homes that we really really liked………..However,  we found out after doing more research that the area these houses were in,  is not as good of an area that we require.   So back to the beginning to look for what we really want.     Still waiting on a couple of houses,  but I do know that the first week of March there will be plenty of more houses that will become available.    That better be the case,  as we will need one very soon.     I am not worried.     We have made it this far,  and definitely not going to give up now.     The weather was so darn cold today,   and the Sun was deceiving.      Definitely set a record low this morning and looks like me may set another one for tonight’s low as well.      Hey by the weekend,  the weather is supposed to be back to the freezing or just above mark!   That is good, right?    Smart-ass comment there………Of course,   can’t help myself with that.

Ok,  I am tired.    My Son has been waking up way before the birds lately and I wake up earlier than I want to,  so I am not too far from bed myself.     I have had so much on my mind lately that I have not been able to sleep as sound as I usually do.      Maybe tonight will be the night to do so!   I can only hope……….

Damn this weather just doesn’t seem to want to warm up at all!

It was freezing cold today.    I was pumping gas,  and the wind was whipping all around me,  my face was frozen,  my hands with gloves on,  were very cold.    And to top it all off,  the damn pump thingy was pumping my gas very slowly.    Kept jamming up on me,  taking forever to get $20 worth of gas.    Geez,  I didn’t think I would ever get done with that.       Thank goodness that my heat in my car works very good!!

Ok that is my complaint of the day.     Nothing too special here.    Made some calls,  got a few things done.   Of course no store seemed to have any boxes today,   so I will call again tomorrow.     Irritating now………..But,  we did find 2 new houses that we love!    If we got either of these 2,  I would be very happy.   Maybe within the next week we will know something for sure.    So many houses to choose from,  and yes I am picky.    I have to live there every day,  so it better be something that I really like lots and lots.     The houses there are bigger than we have now and a good $150 to $250 cheaper a month than we have now.   Not bad at all!

I did get my errands done today,  so that is good.   Tomorrow is going to be very cold,   and I have more errands to run,  but it will be my last day without the kiddos.      So much going on this week and the weeks coming ahead.    It is all still so very exciting,  but yet can be stressful at times.     Once it is all done,  all the stress will have been worth it for me.

Well it is that time of the night…………Time to head to my den and do one of my nightly things.

The weekend was a good one for us……..Especially since we didn’t get any snow on Sunday that was originally forecasted!     I will never miss all this bitter cold and snow!

Today was a decent day too.    Cold outside,   but I had some errands to run,   so I got that out of the way.   Tomorrow is a day of getting as many boxes that will fit into my car as possible.    Won’t be too much,  but a few is better than none.     We have found a good handful of houses,   so we are starting the contact process and going from there.     We plan to be gone by the 25th of March,   giving us a good week in the new place before my husband starts the new job.      Time to unpack,   get familiar with the surroundings a bit more,  all that good stuff.

The next few weeks are going to go by very fast for us,   so I don’t want to waste that much time if I don’t have to.     The kids are out of school Thursday and Friday this week,   so it will be crazy here later in the week.    Definitely good to get my stuff done now,  so I don’t have to worry about taking 3 kiddos w/ me everywhere I need to go.

I will try my hardest to get a new video or 2 in before we hit the road.    Once we do,   it will be close to a week before I am online again.    I am thinking that will be the case,   but maybe it will be less………who knows.     I hope you all are having a great start to the new work week!
